Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, ensuring each is fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts and dark chocolate chips for extra texture and flavor.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing it out evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar, and enjoy with a glass of milk or your favorite latte!
