In another bowl, beat the eggs.
Dip each chicken breast first into the beaten eggs to coat, then into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure a good layer sticks to the chicken.
Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Remove the baking dish from the oven, and spoon marinara sauce evenly over each chicken breast.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara sauce.
Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
